I'm studying for the CSWP exam and was doing the igetitcourse. There's a question on it that goes as follows: Hole callouts added to cosmetic threads in part docs are insertedautomatically into drawing views if the drawing doc is set to a_____ standard A. DIN B. JIS C. ANSI D. BSI E. ISO Now, Ive changed the dimensioning standard in the drawing to eachone of these but still no hole callout. Did anybody notice that default appearances are not saving inthe part templates. I've tried numerous times to change the defaultappearance to carbon steel, even by specifying the material, but myfeature appearances keep turning back to plastic. My VAR said there is an SPR out on it. But it is a majorpain.SolidworksParts And Features

I've have Enterprise PDM up and running and seeking advice onwhich if any warnings can be routinely ignored. The question onlyapplies to those pop up warnings including the "Don't ask me again"toggle. The question is not based on lack of respect for the consequencesof ignoring something important. In our previous CAD system we learned (over time) certain warningsalways had to be addressed, some eventually and others could beroutinely ignored.

Is it possible to put in a mitred cut angle column on a weldment cut list, i.e. structural members that are mitred would have a column that specifies what angle they are mitred at.SolidworksWeldments

Does anyone else have trouble using mates in sub assemblies?I may just not be doing it properly, but I seem to have troublecreating maintaining mates that cross over between sub assemblies.Sometimes I create the mates and then drag the parts into the subassemblies. But, I then have to drag them out of the sub assemblyin order for the mates to update. Am I doing this the wrong way, any ideas, or do I need to explainbetter?

I am looking in to switching two of our cad systems to 64 bitOS. I know some of the issues we will have or could have are withdrivers. Are any issues withe running a 64 bit os on a 32 bitnetwork. Reason I ask is we have the PDMworks vault on the server.I know the hardware is not the best, benchmark test for rebuild onpart was a 302.9.

We have been trying to run a simulation on a large rack for acouple of weeks now and have had nothing but problems. Our hardware specs are as follows: Dell T5400 Intel Zeon Quad E5430 2.66Ghz 16 Gig Ram 64 bit vista During the meshing phase if you look at the task manager theprocessor is limited to 13%. It has never gone above this no matterwhat size model we try. Are dealer has not been able to figure thisout.

When I try to install latest SPO2.1 I get a message that SW task scheduler is running which prevents the install. The task manager in windows shows No SW programs running. How can I install SP2.1? SolidworksGeneral

Hi All (Sorry I rant a little here) I'm currently using Desktop EDA which I love and works perfectly,but as I just had an upgrade to Premium I thought I might as wellgive Circuitworks a chance. Especially as Desktop EDA is moving toa yearly subs model. Hopefully it will do what I want. So far I've setup my library (would be nice if I could use analready existing DB rather than maintaining two dbs though.

I'm working with the PDMW API to create a custom client appand I have a question about custom properties. These properties arespecified in the Vault Admin Tool and should be applied to alldocuments in the vault regardless of document type. Is it the Vault's responsibility to add these properties to thefile or the clients? It seems when I check something in via the API (using the CheckInmethod provided) that only the default 6 properties get added tothe document.

I have an assembly I just created in 2009 SP0.0. I made the assembly and saved it. Opened it back up and it is"hidden" all of the solid bodies are shown. I have tried control Q. When I insert this (assembly A) assembly into assembly B it makesassembly B dissapear also.
