Hi all, I have been playing around with the frequency simulation, doing astudy on a part using different approaches and meshes. What I amdoing a study on is a hollow core metal door with a uniform wallthickness of .125". I have approached it in the following ways: 1. As a solid body with a very fine, standard mesh.

On my XP32 system when I use the File Open dialog I canselect the type of file to use as a filter (e.g. sldprt, slddrw,sldasm). On subsequent File Open cycles (during the same session) the filterremains in place until I select a different one. I find this veryconvenient and desirable. On my Vista64 sytem the filter resets to the "SolidWorks FileSuite" wildcard every time.

Having recently upgraded to SoildWorks09 with a FloSimulationAdd-in, I have been running some older projects again to getfamiliar with how things have changed. If I just re-run the simulation, with the same FloSimulationProject, I get ridiculously low temperature outcomes e.g max tempsof 20.6 where there were 60.9 degrees C. Making a new FloSimulation Project with exactly the same goals,gives 59.7 degrees C rather than 60.9 degrees C maximum. Has anyone else experienced this?SolidworksFlow

Can we create edge flange on a sheet metal geometry createdfrom loft feature from sheet metal toolbar? I want to create a dome for a storage tank. Dome is to be preparedfrom sheet of thickness 6mm. Top & bottom edges of this domeare having bends.

I had altered a Gauge table and I consistently get "Gaugetable is invalid". I had tried to get this to work for many hours and can not find outthe problem. Are there any standards for gauge table for formatting? Has anyone used the gauge tables effectively yet?

Hi, I have an assembly where i want to dissolve a sub-assembly insideit, but every time I attempt to do so, Solidworks 2009 crashes onme. Hello all, I have a vb.net application I have written to open drawings usingthe API and then print them to my default printer which is a tifprinter. Everything is working fine except when I have a drawing that hasmultiple pages. It will open the drawing and just print the firstpage and ignore the rest of the pages in the file. If I open the same drawing with the eDrawings program and print it,I have the option to select "All" to get all the pages.

This issue is limited to block editing. I remember that previous versions of SW had a "select" option onthe RMB menu that was easy to get to after sketching an entitywhile editing a block. On 2009 sp2.1, this option is gone and isn't listed under customizemenu. What is worse, in my quick menu (that customizable menu thingy thatpops up next to the mouse when you hit a hotkey, not the flyoutmenus) there is a select button, but it is greyed out while I amsketching.

When I use The publish e-Drawing Command I receive the Serverbusy message. and no way to remove this message except end usingthe task manager to close SolidWorks I even tried to lunche-Drawings manually because sometimes this method works with Excelin design table but now it's not working. is there any one who knowhow to solve this issue.SolidworksAdministration

I'm trying to set up the bill of materials so that it canproduce a cutting list for welded assemblies not made using'weldments' - just using parts. To this end, as an experiment I'veset up a 'Rectangular Hollow Section' Part - with severalconfigurations. In order to get the overall length I made a configuration specificcustom property 'length' - set it to 'text' and then clicked thelength dimension - the address of which went into the 'value'column. I then opened a drawing - added two instances
