I have a doubt: Is it possible to create a Macro, Button or Instruction to generate automaticly a Exploded View where we can put the separation dimension for each component and the direction (an Assembly tube system for example). To make a long story short when we have castings we will insert the casting part into an assembly. Then add assembly cuts to make the machining. I could save a lot of time making new configurations if I could add material. SolidworksAssemblies
I am working on a stair assembly with a hinged handrail. thehandrail sub-assy has an angular limit mate on the hinge. I haveinserted it into the top assembly, made it flexible. It worksgreat... but then I save the assy with the handrail in the uprightposition and next time I pull it up the handrails are down. Anyideas?

Hey everyone! Is there a way in Solidworks 2017 to explode a multi-body part in an exploded view of an assembly? I cannot use the "reuse subassembly explode" button since it is a part, not an assembly. In an assembly I've created some equations, no problem sofar. Before i assign them i can edit them all with the 'edit all'option, very comfortable. When i asign them to parts within my assembly i can't change therevalues in the 'edit all' window. SW says the part is read only but as far i know it isn't.
Hi, in the past I was told to use Counterbore to embed the head of the screws under the Hole Wizard. However, when I chose Counterbore, the minimum size is M5. How come? I want to embed the head of screws like the following in the frames.

When I mirror a part in an assembly, I get a mirror which is also rotated. Command Manager>Assembly tab>Linear component pattern>Mirror components. Mirror part about Right plane. There is a message about resolving something but I dismiss it. (Mirror fails to show in the Feature Tree.) What have I missed? SolidworksAssemblies
