Hi all, when I need to use "more mates" to fix one part I have to relaunch the mate command again and again for each mate; Not sure about, but I remember that few year/versions ago the comand was active till the end of the entire operation Is there a special flag that I have to check? Hi, I am trying to extract bodies & parts from an assembly to create a new separate assembly. Attached is a photo of what I mean. I want all the highlighted items to be extracted into a new assembly that can be modified. Not too sure how to do this.
Say I have a subassembly that has a shaft in it. The shaft is constrained via mates in all degrees of freedom except for rotation. I then take that subassembly and drop it into a higher-level assembly. How do I rotate the shaft from the higher-level assembly?

Why are blocks excluded in pack and go? Is it hidden somewhere in custom decals or the drawings check box? My parts are still looking at the block file in the previous folder. I really hate that solidworks is using full file locations as reference.

Maybe everyone else knows this, but I just discovered that the much hated and often accidental function of hiding parts by holding down Tab and dragging the cursor over them is a default keyboard shortcut. It can be deleted, and I have done so. SolidworksAssemblies

I have a pallet stack to control in an assembly and I have to modifiy the number of instance several times. I figured I could use design table in order to modify quickly the number of pallets in my stack. I don't know how to do it though. Any answer ? SolidworksAssemblies
I have no idea how this got missed, but it keeps screwing me up everytime I use the command. For instance, a coincident shows a concentric mate icon, a parallel mate shows a coincident mate icon, etc. This would be easier if I could just show a screenshot. Hi, Am using SOLIDWORKS-2017. When i try to Pack and Go an assembly , the folder structure is not working. By default its opting for "Flatten to single folder". Am unable to change it.
We have to share our cad models (assembly files) to our vendor. But we would like to add some inaccuracy to the model so that no one can do reverse engineering to our product. Please let me know is there any options to do the same? I know the option “defeature”.
