I have a simply O-ring drawing that has pretty involved tolerance dual dim etc. I'd rather not have to redo the format for other similar dims, so in the past I've used the annotation tool to touch the finished dimension, & then go to the one I wish to change & touch that one. When I choose annotation, & touch the dim, I crash out immediately. Is anyone familiar with this as being an issue etc.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: Solidworks 2017 Sp5 Annotation crash

This may be a dumb question, but after activating the Note command do you first click in the graphics area to activate the text box before clicking on the dimension?

Either way, it shouldn't be crashing.   Have you reported this to your VAR?   They may be able to remote in and diagnose the problem.

Re: Solidworks 2017 Sp5 Annotation crash

Hello Again;

    I appreciate the replies. I did get some input from SW itself that there might be a hotfix for this problem. I called support (thanks for the push Dan), & they were able to get this rectified. For anyone that has this issue the hotfix number is #1047341.

Thanks again
