Hi everybody

I have a problem that I want to import 3D into composer, is there any way to improve my image quality, that the size of the file I create is very light, when open does not take too long to wait.

Import 3D files should have what format is best for my choice

Best regard!

Re: how import 3D format into the composer

Hi Bin,

to change the quality of importing 3D Data depends on the source cad System. This is because they use different kernel and different mathematics to calculate a circle.

To modify the Quality you can use the refinement button by opening any CAD Data.

One changement is "chordal error" or "normal deviation", second is the Quality-bar right of this function.

if you improve the Quality the size of your .smg file will increase.

"Chrodal error" is used for Solidworks for example.

"normal devciation" is used for CREO/ProE for example.

you have to test different Formats to get the best choice. But in most cases iges or step are very good. Iges is a Little bit faster.

i hope this helps
