Here is a right view of an assembly I created. If I wanted to simulate where its final resting position would be due to gravity/weight (assuming the rod doesn't flex) is that possibly in solidworks? Hey there Is it possible to define a custom moment of interia for a beam? I do have fairly complex profiles and I want to avoid to geometrically model the cross section. In other FEA tools, it is possilbe to define beam elements just by two points and the inertia's with respect to the local element coordinate system. Does Solidworks Simulation offer anything like that?

I'm simulating tubing in a nuclear steam generator to see the heat transfer characteristics. I know what the flow rate, pressure, and temperature need to be on the inside of the tube, and what the starting temperature and pressure needs to be for the subdomain. I'm not sure how to set it though. Help would be appreciated.

Good morning, I´m new here and try to simulate a mixed model with shells and solid parts. In the shell manager are all sheets listet which are going to mesh as shell. Unfortunetly there is un error when I try to mesh the whole assembly: The thickness for one or more shells are not defined! How can I find the shell which is not correctly definded?

I need to define the fixtures and loads for the model attached, it is one half of the pair of scissors. I am thinking of adding a hinge fixture to the axis and a load where the finger would go. I am not sure whatsoever -- how can I model the static analysis for this pair of scissors? All help is appreciated! SolidworksSimulation

I had a simulation project I was working on yesterday crash, and now the simulation tabs won't load anymore. Simulation tabs loads on other files and earlier versions of this file. Any ideas on how to fix this? It also looks like I could start new simulations on the crashed file, but I have lost all previous work.
