We all know that SOLIDWORKS can throw up some strange/ entertaining information at times! This is an interesting one with SOLIDWORKS 2019. Every now and then it tosses in some strange "Last time" open information The file certainly didn't take 15minutes and 52 seconds to open! I had one the other day which show it as 75minutes!

Hello everyone, I need an advice from you. I want to make a cut in the surface which is marked starting from the red curve in the angle of 2 degrees. The cut sholud be deep into the material. It is kind of outlet channel.

Hello, Im trying to creat a sketch on a part. The sketch is positioned in reference to another part in assembly. Its positioned according to the position of these two parts. what is the best way to do this??

Can anyone help me figure out how to merge the surface noted with a black sketch onto the rest of the solidsurface? I'm not proficient in surfacing, so any help would be much appreciated. I thought I was working in MMGS, but I was actually working in inches. I completed the design, but now want to switch units to MMGS. I know that I can change the units, but it will automatically convert the dimensions but I want the all the dimensions to stay the same and just the units to change. Is there a way to do this?

Hello guys, I am new to Solidworks. I am wondering if Solidworks has a function like CATIA V5 perspective mode, which is handy in viewing an assembly. Hello, I have this handle and I am trying to do an extruded cut, resulting in three cuts around the outside perimeter of it using this sketch. I should add they will only be a few millimeters deep and surround the entire handle. What method would I use to go about this? Thanks!

I'm trying to have some of my dimensions be a default text size for the first row, and a different text size for the 2nd & 3rd rows. Is this possible? (Note these dimensions are to be added in my part, but shown in my drawing) I know I could achieve this by using a note for my 2nd & 3rd rows, but that isn't what I'm trying to achieve. Thanks!

I have an imported Step file with many bodies. I have changed the bodies to different colors. When I create a section view all the cut surfaces change to the same color. How do I keep the cut faces the same as the body color?

Hi Why sometimes I can make the flatten for a sheet metal mirror part and sometimes I cant? I think that I need select one option but Im not sure which one. As you can see in the first part I can't unbend the mirror part, and in the second one I can. Thanks for your time!

Hi. I've added some smart fasteners to some holes, but they mate the washer on the bottom stack with the wrong face. How can I tell them to mate it with the orange (counterbore) face as shown in the screenshot? Many thanks SolidworksModeling And Assemblies
