Thread simulation how can i simulate this threaded connection to get the right stresses everywhere, without rotate the part in 3d.

I'm trying to make some simulations of a rather simple part under static compression. The part is shown below. To make this simulation as simple as possible I have isolated the part (no assembly) and even removed features that would make things more complicated. I just want to see purely how much this part will deform under a given loading condition.

High Reynolds number modeling I am doing validation modeling of drag in immersed flow of air over a streamlined body, however, I am interested in high Reynolds number flow (i.e. 20e6). As I understand it, the turbulence model flow sim uses is validated either to 6e6 (Bill McEachern's comment in this threadhttps://forum.solidworks.com/thread/20131) or 8e6 (Bill McEachern's comment in this threadhttps://forum.solidworks.com/thread/57334).

This issue began happening when I tried to run a study on a file that was saved to my flash drive. I saved the file locally and I still can't run it. I also can't run any studies I had already performed before this issue arrived. How do I resolve this?

GUYS! This is my first time doing a stress simulation for an assembly. Can someone guide me how to apply a horizontal force of 600 lbs on this link. Material is plain carbon steel.

I am designing a electrical contact spring. And also comparing it with actual result from testing Setup. From simulation i am getting Resultant force as 1.4 N and from actual testing of same Contact spring with measuring device i got the 0.8 N. Can anyone explain why is the difference so much ?

Buckling Simulation Hi all, I have set-up and run a buckling simulation but the load factor seems far higher (600) than what I would expect for a aluminium box of thickness 10mm loaded externally with 10bar and internally with 1bar . I have checked material, load and support but can't find the problem.

Do you know why the "Create Body from Deformed Shape" command is not found even though I did a clean unistall and reinstall of SolidWorks? If I right click the results folder, I should see the command but it is not there as shown below.

Are there any settings (in Solidworks or Windows) that speed up "show results" for simulations? I'd like to increase my efficiency. Thanks!

I'm fairly new to SolidWorks Simulation Flow. I'm having trouble trying to put together a simulation flow through my heat sink using DC blower fans. I can't properly set up lids to do a boundary property with the inflow of the DC flowers and then properly set the out flow.

I am trying to run a flow simulation in a strainer, to find out the pressure drop in the basket strainer. I have applied the boundary condition and trying to solve it but the pressure plot is giving me a strange result.

Update simulation parameters from external source My simulation model is just an step in a complex simulation workflow involving other software. Therefore, I need to run the simulation studies using model parameters (e.g. force values) generated in the previous step of the simulation workflow.

Connector forces calculation Applied only axial load of 3000 lbf on bolt connector. why connector forces show shear and bending too? How solidworks calculate shear and bending moment?

I'm trying to do a structural analasis on a 3 d printed cast from a company called ActivArmor. The cast shape is very organic looking and because of that the STL file I was given is made up of thousands of triangles. I have left the simulation running for days and it cannot compute the mesh in that amount of time. Has anyone else been able to run simulations on complicated models made of thousands of faces?

I am running SW2018 and I am trying to run a simple simulation. But I have a question about bolt connections. I have a simple assembly with a C profile bracket and a pipe that goes between the flanges and they have holes that are aligned to be bolted or to put a pin (refer screenshots).

I have a task where I must simulate two plates held together with a countersunk bolt under a shear load. I need to compare two scenarios, one where the bolt is properly tensioned/pre-loaded and another where it is not pre-loaded and will fail due to fatigue. To start I am using the SW connector bolts and I am able to run the static simulations fine.
