Currently when i create a drawing i have to change the textproperties to suite myself mostly the height of the text so peoplecan read it easyer. But every time i create a new drawing i always have to change theproperties. Does anyone know how to perm change the properties so i dont needto change them every time i create a drawing. Sometimes we have tangent edges visible in drawings and have some trouble with that. Modified a macro (VBA) for attaching views to BOM1 from Artem Taturevich and now it changes tangent edges from every view as wanted (with font). Best regards, TapaniS SolidworksDrawings And Detailing

I've been looking into streamlining some of our standard notes so they can be stored in the library and then drug onto the drawing and then they auto number into one note. Has anyone been using this? Is there a clear benefit? What about notes that include characters like (square) or (circle in square)?

Convert entities doesn’t work I drew a ball by revolving a profile. I made a plane which cuts the ball. Now I want to project the edges of the ball, where it the plane cuts it, on the plane. I use the "Convert entities command, with the Intersection curve option, but no use.

I thought that SW 2011 was supposed to show inprovement in performance and be fore friendly to drawings. With what I've seen so far, it's probably worse. Certainly no faster. I've actually seen nothing that is more useful on a day to day basis.

I'm going to brag and complain about SW in the same post. I just used the Section View for the first time since I updated to SW2012. I really appreciate the ability to set different fonts for the section name and the scale, and to be able to add another line of text, but why in the world did they fix that for section views and not detail views? Im trying to get a solidworks 2012 drawing template set up with duel dimensioning. (Metric as primary and inches as secondary) Currently within the same print inches are coming in on top in some drawing views and on bottem and others in no particular order. I have been prompted to update my drawing views upon saving my drawing file. I have OK'ed this...and the drawing views on the second sheet of my file have gone missing. I have a line of holes on an angle requiring a centerline. I can't just click two parallel edges of my part to place a centerline. I just realized that you can draw a standard sketch line between the hole centers while in a drawing, and if you check the "construction line" box, the line becomes a center line. Hopefully, this can benefit someone else.
