Try as I might with any service pack download I always get afailed operation. This has happened with sp2, 2.1 and now 3.0 I have tried downloading using the method which pops up when youstart SW, I have tried manuall using the master disc s it asks forbut no joy at all. When I try to load an assembly in 2009 SP2.1 the assemblygets loaded with various parts and sub assemblies suppressed. Whentrying to open the suppressed elements I get a "Cannot load part,Sharing Violation" message. Our IT guy figures it's a recent security patch from Windows andnot the network. The OS is XP SP3 32 bit.

I have 2 shafts I am working on with a lot of features. Ineed to takes some of the features from one shaft and, if possibletransfer them over to the other so I don't have to redo all thefeatures. Is there a way to cut a section off of one of the shaftsand join it with the other shaft? I previously worked on a software that could do this - it saved alot of time.

A question has come up as to whether it's possible to stop anemployee from transferring their license to another computer. I have a sheet metal part bent with the 2 sides equal length.I am putting 2 holes in only one of the sides. If I use Through Allfor an end condition, the hole is though both sides, Up To Next andUp To Surface gets me a hole callout of a depth equal to the stockthickness and I can't edit the callout. Anyone have a clue why the "save to zip" option of pack &go would suddenly stop working? I use it all the time for backuppurposes, and to send customers the latest set of files. Suddenlythis afternoon, no zip file is created. The "save to folder" optionstill works fine.
Is there a way to save the SolidWorks part/model directly asa high resolution bitmap? Currently, the Save As... does not have option, and if we save itto other format such as *.ai (Adobe Illustrator), then open it inthe Adobe Illustrator and save it as a bitmap, the RGB values weset inside the SolidWorks are lost.
