Hello, I am trying to make a simple, triangular, planar surface from the current sketch (Already done with the previous sketch). I know it's a closed sketch but the planar surface tool refuses to recognize the sketch as a feasible definition for it (aka the tool is unselectable/grayed out). Why is this happening? I attached the part file. SolidworksSurfacing
Hello, I have this handle and I am trying to do an extruded cut, resulting in three cuts around the outside perimeter of it using this sketch. I should add they will only be a few millimeters deep and surround the entire handle. What method would I use to go about this? Thanks! SolidworksSurfacing
Hi! For my project I am attempting to design a plastic cover that could be injection molded. The issue I am having is adding a draft to the part. The neutral plane is at a weird angle - Using the drafting tool has not worked so far.
Hi everyone, The surface body named Surface-Trim13 won't thicken to 2mm as needed - any suggestions would be great, thanks. File attached. SolidworksSurfacing
Hello Gentlemen / Ladies question? has experience in surface modeling using POWER SURFACING overlays. Because I have some questions. Thank you in advance for your answer SolidworksSurfacing
Hi all, I tried the like Measure, Section properties & Mass properties to find the surface area of the body. I couldn't able to get a one-click answer. So, later I calculated individually(or two surfaces) to find all areas of the surface. SolidworksSurfacing
I do the surface-loft them I do the cut with surface and it fails due to geometric condition. I did a similar model before and it worked so I dont know the reason its failing. Part2 worked fine Part3_3 did not work. SolidworksSurfacing
Hi I'm not able to knit all surfaces together because of Boundary-Surface 53,54 and 55 and even the spoilers. Spoilers is overlapping the surface so that makes sense but I don't know whats wrong with 53,54 and 55. Everything else seems fine. Please help! SolidworksSurfacing
Hello, I am having a hard times modeling this case with a sharp line around the corners. I have been using the tool " boundary surface " with sketches in both directions. Let me know if that's something someone can help me with. Thanks in advance, Celia SolidworksSurfacing
Hi, I have a surface that I would like to thicken, however I need the thickness to be non uniform. Ideally i'm looking for a way of imposing a sort of grey scale map onto the surface and create a thickness using it. Is there a way to do this or another way that would achieve the same thing. The surface I need to thicken is a very organic shape to start with.
How do you split an existing edge in #SOLIDWORKS? This is a critical skill for surface modeling when working with imported geometry. This is one way to do it: https://youtu.be/XpMUFwki6XY What is your technique? step Surfacing Surfaces loft boundary
