I'm trying to pull attribute value by using VBA, but the ".Value" is neither pulling nor setting the proper information. The ".Value" appears to be initially copying from the ".Caption" variable, but the value it holds neither affects the value within the block nor the caption of the value. The ".Caption" on the other hand is working as expected. With DraftSight open, a document opened in sheet view, and looking at a "revision line" block, my code looks like the following below.

We build boats, and the files we receive are native rhino files or .stp files. Most of the parts and pieces are sheet metal. Is there a file conversion software that makes these file TRUE SolidWorks files??

I am getting a weird issue with an ever growing Adobe temp file stored under C:/ProgramData/Adobe/Temp. I have 2 computers at work that are having an issue that keeps generating a numbered folder which contains a config.bin and a installer.bin. The common denominator with these two pc's is that they are the two solidworks stations, all other computers are fine. These temp files are growing by about 400-800mb per day.

Here's an interesting idea for you guys, instead of the current way SolidWorks does split screen, it would be more helpful to pop-out the drawing into a separate window and be able to work on it there. This way I could maximize both screens to match my screens and I wouldn't have to fiddle around with trying to align the screen properly. Also this would take care of the issue of hidden drawings that are off the screen. When maximize SolidWorks out of split screen mode, the drawing on the second

Hello I would like to know how do we do it: I draw up a part, then I make the nomenclature of this part, it must include only in the nomenclature, the additional parts that I would have previously linked to this part.

I recently had to edit an assembly model put together by a recent hire. I found that he had used a series of patterns consisting of the parent and one child to place objects along a conveyor system. each successive pattern uses the child of the previous pattern as the parent. I have never seen this done before and am wondering if this is an acceptable practice or if might be contributing to what seems to me to be excessive rebuild time for the assembly model.

I've never played around with routing and I have a simple project that I thought I'd cut my teeth with. I watched a few videos and I understand the concept of routing from a connector to another connector and then adding a wire. However, my simple project doesn't utilize connectors. I have a two conductor wire connecting two PCBs and the wire is soldered to pads on each of the PCBs. so I don't have a connector to place on either of the PCBs to route between.

I've got a lot of experience & comfort in meshing the fluid regions of SW Flow CFD, but am starting to do more conduction/radiation analysis, which involves more emphasis on the solid mesh. My general approach to fluid meshing is to ensure that all my fluid channels have at least 3-5 cells across the width as a starting point. Are there any "go-to" rules/tips/tricks when approaching a solid mesh? Should I be striving for a minimum number of cells across a solid width?
