SOLIDWORKS Sell is has a multitude of tools used to create and display a product on an online configurator. These tools help users assemble their models to include all different configurations and geometry changes. Many different strategies can be used to create similar end products. What dictates the processes used in building a configurator is an idea of what needs to be shown and how that going to be accomplished.
Last weekend, I spent 30 minutes in line for a two-minute roller coaster ride. The ride was fun, the kids were happy, so I was happy but I couldn’t help but think about the amount of not-so-fun activity we had to sacrifice to get to the fun activity.

Augmented reality (AR) combines the technology of a camera and software to superimpose 3D objects into a real-life environment in real time. There is a wide range of capabilities and uses for this technology. It’s been used in games to bring fantasy and adventure to your back yard. It’s been used in educational apps that help you learn about star formations.
SOLIDWORKS is host to many appearances and materials that help your consumers (designers, students, CEO’s, etc) see how their products will look like in real life. Now, with a recent update, SOLIDWORKS Sell has implemented over 250 of those materials into its own library. Previously, the two programs had completely separate libraries. This was because the SOLIDWORKS library was native to the software and local on the computer;
