As a Mom of two boys, I have watched my fair share of baby sensory videos on YouTube, and they are super cute. So, I began to wonder how easy it would be to model and animate my very own mini sensory animation video. For part 1 of the tutorial, you will see how I used xShape to model a star, bring it into SOLIDWORKS Connected from the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, and add moving eyes using a motion study. Stay tuned for part two of this tutorial, where I will be bringing in the star with motion study

Revision management involves tracking changes made to a product design throughout its lifecycle. Traditional revision schemes typically include alphanumeric codes such as A, B, C, and so on. However, as products become more complex and collaborative processes evolve, extended revision schemes become essential for providing a more nuanced and detailed approach to version control. We all know 3DEXPERIENCE Platform offers- Primary (A, B, C, etc) & Primary and Secondary (A.1, A.2, B.1, etc) revision

The design mantra for today’s design teams is efficiency. To get the most out of as little as you can, without sacrificing quality or performance. This has led many to mimic nature, who over a millennium of evolution has created many high efficiency solutions. One of nature’s solutions to strength to weight ration problems is to use lattice structures, where a repeating pattern creates an open cell structure that is both strong and light.

For this SOLIDWORKS tutorial I designed this wooden toy clock, if you want to follow along, the assembly for this tutorial is available to download here. You can watch the result of the animation from the beginning through the end of this tutorial. I began my assembly by lifting all of the number blocks out of the clock by 100mm, ready to create an exploded view. With this I selected each shape starting with number 1, and drag them down with the arrow to select the Y-axis for the move direction

SOLIDWORKS has always been a customer-driven product. Enhancements to SOLIDWORKS products are driven from feedback obtained through direct customer research, analysis of our many internal databases of customer information, reviewing feedback from our many public forums and, of course perhaps most importantly, direct customer request for enhancements – like the ideas submitted to the The Top Ten List – 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024. Earlier this year, EngineersRule.com, featured a blog post about this
