Makers of all ages attended the Nantes Maker Campus event in Nantes, France. With an inspiring setting, SOLIDWORKS was there to support our youngest makers, students, start-ups, and the maker community. With free SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids, children age 4-14 got to test out their skills designing and 3DPrinting creations in front of very proud parents. SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids is a free, fun learning STEM/STEAM web-based tool available for kids ages 4-14.

Student Teams work all year long to prepare for grueling competitions. Designs are perfected over years for the ultimate machine. Long before the students take to the track, they design, analyze, and then re-design/re-test their components and vehicles. In the SOLIDWORKS community, we are fortunate to meet talented innovators that are making a difference in people’s lives. Many volunteer their time with organizations that do good for others. Last month, I was fortunate to learn about Remap.org.uk that designs and builds equipment to help people live more independently. Magic Wheelchair builds epic costumes for kiddos in wheelchairs at no cost to families.
