I have been having lots of trouble recently trying to render a complex assembly. More complex than I have tried before. I am working on a custom built PC with a NVIDA P2000 graphics card, which has worked amazingly up until now. I understand that I may need a more powerful graphics card to render the more complex models.

Importing assemblies with subassemblies into visualize issue Hi everyone, Wondering if anyone has any idea why when I import assemblies that contain subassemblies into Visualize 2019, all of the subassemblies and their components snap to the centre in the part file orientation, instead of importing in their mated positions from the Solidworks assembly as they would have done in Visualize 2018?

When loading up Visualize 2018 I get the error attached: Cannot locate resource... I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling already and nothing changed. The error started after I removed temporary files using Solidworks RX.

I'd like to start a discussion about photoreal models brought into a XR experience of some kind trying to utilizing Visualize. The applications I am creating are for use by sales & marketing teams, for training and education, and augmented remote support. To date, I've had to dump Visualize out of my workflow for this except for one single function. The most successful workflow I have right now is to bring a SOLIDWORKS model into Visualize just to be able to export it as an .obj or .fbx.

I am trying to create a render in Visualize and a component of this is a slatted timber seat. I have coloured the different areas in solidworks (to designate the different appearances I want to assign) however when I try and add the wood effect to the radius on the end of the timber it appears as both horizontal and vertical, which just doesnt look right. Ive have tried a few different approaches with this however I've now exausted my knowledge (did not take long).

On a plane surface I used the cobblestones material which by default has bump displacement checked. As a result the whole plane moves forward instead of creating a 3d shape. When unchecked (2nd picture) the place moves back.

I'm working on a basic layout of a workshop which has a bunch of metro racks in it. It's a pretty simple model, but the wire shelves from the racks are modeled as solids and that is bringing the polygon count close to 2 million and Visualize is choking on the model as a result. Is there a good way to replicate the shelves without using solids?

I'm having trouble saving a reasonably basic scene (small laboratory layout) in 2019 SP1. This was installed just last week by my VAR. Before this scene simply didn't save, it had started saving unreliably: I was never presented with any errors, but when I would re-open the scene, most of the appearances would suddenly be unassigned.

Learn how to create two types of interactive outputs, VR and Panoramic. Both of these render types create a set of images like an animation, but instead of stitching them into a movie, they are instead stitched together to create an interactive rendering accessible from an HTML link. Understand the important use cases for Visualize’s interactive outputs Learn how to set-up your scene for generating VR & Panoramic outputs. Tell a deeper story with your 3D data with interactive outputs. Available in Visualize Professional.

If you add the modo materials to the model in SW and then open that file in Visualize it will convert the modo material the best it can and is really based on how well SW (not PhotoView) converted the material. That said, Visualize doesn't support "fur" currently and the material you are showing is a modo fur material. So, while it would convert into Visualize it will not have the fur effect you want and I'm not even sure what it would look like in Visualize. My guess is just a solid color

Is there a way to change the naming convention for the folder when selecting "all cameras" rendering? I would like the output to not include the last two parts (date and time stamp I think). In general, it would be nice to build and control the naming conventions of both the files and folders.

Also, notice that the surface body names are Surface-ImportXXX. I could use direct editing to rotate those 248 surface bodies, but I thought I would see what I could do with Visualize.

The easiest way to describe your model or design is with a 360 degree spin, describing much more than a single still image. This lesson will show you how to easily create 360 degree spins with the click of a single button, and highlights advanced features like Motion Blur to further blur the line of ‘real or rendered.’ Add a Realtime Turntable to your project and then render Turntables with a single click. Introduce one-click camera rotations for 360 degree spins around your model. Learn how to use Rotation Animations for rotating parts like wheels, propellers, gears, etc. Discover the many benefits of in-camera Motion Blur to add that extra sense of realism to your images and animations. Adding decals to a part is a good way to add logos and touchscreens to your Visualize scenes without having to incorporate them into the actual model design. They function just like digital stickers, and can be easily added to a part, moved around, and changed with appearances. Easily drag and drop to add decals to your project. Understand how to manipulate decals and the available settings. Apply appearances to decals that already exist in your scene.
