Example, in the render below you can see the shadow of a boss that is on the inside of the part. The wall that it is bleeding through is not even very thin - it is 0.100" wall thickness. When I change appearance to blacklow glossplastic the problem goes away. It's an annoying problem, seems to appear on textured materials.

Set up a few configurations of my model where there are some items with visibility on or off. This should result in a series of configurations showing the model in different states. Ive never run photoview in batch and Ive typically used photoview 360 to generate renderings one at a time, first play with settings, then after a few tests I start pumping each configuration.

I tried to render this morning and none of the 306 buttons respond except for options. I have deleted the CFG file but this has made no difference. Jive Software Version: 2018.13.0.0_jx, revision: 20190118155848.7eaeabc.release_2018.13.0-jx

I'm using PhotoView to render a part that needs to have a transparent background without ANY shadows around the part (the part needs to be isolated). Even with floor shadows turned off Solidworks renders the part with small shadows around it (though I think once the option to disable floor shadows was greyed out). I've been using the default settings without setting up environments and this is the second or third time I've used the program. When you render it (Solidworks 2013) it allows you to "

visualize 2016 I'm finding a lot of general flakiness using visualize 2016 sp1 with solidworks 2016SP5 and functionality that soesnt seem to work properly. It is pretty osuicure what is not available in std compared to the cost added product and sadly the help files are a failure in clarifying if the package has a function disabled or if it isnt working when it should

I'm trying to render chrome/steel/high gloss black but rendering it, it appears dull and not how chrome/steel/high gloss black plastic should be. - Playing with with Scene settings, i.e. Photoview lighting (bg brightness, render brightness, scene reflectivity)

I'm working on trying to import an image to use as a backdrop for rendering in Photoview 360. I can get the image to come in as a background but then I cannot get the floor reflection to turn off without the shadows turning off too. They seem to be connected somehow. I then tried to get the image as an environment but solidworks distorts it like you're looking through a fish eye lens with a single focal point.

Every time I fire this thing up I am left shocked at how completely unsatisfactory any of the default scenes and settings are to get any sort of useful output at all. Initially it seems the dang thing is flying in the air at a funny angle, sitting half way up the wall in the corner of a room where the lights are pointing anywhere but at it.... i just don't understand why there isnt anything like a default scene where you can see detail on anything....always the shadows are crazy directions and

Whenever I render something that has inner shadow - see attached picture for example, I get this grainy look and the shadow becomes really bad. I improved the render quality from "best" to "maximum" and also improved image quality on settings to high. but still struggling with this issue.

I recently added a simple decal to the top of a switch which is now part my companies part library. To save having an extra file/image in with the components & running the risk of it getting lost or deleted, I made the decal self-contained within the part (by ticking the option in the Document Properties > Model Display) The only issue I have now is that the decal isn’t appearing when I render the part in Photoview 360.

I am new to rendering, and am playing around with it. I edited a light on an assembly to highlight one of the faces. It shows in the Solidworks window but it doesn't show in the render. The lights are "on" in both Solidworks and Photoworks 360.

I am trying to render a short 18 second animation in Photoview 360 in an assembly and everything in the model turns out as a white shiny finish. I can render a single image and it is fine, with correct plastics, rubbers and metals applied, but in the video every part of the model turns all white. Photoview 360 is installed and switched on.

Hello All,.. I ran into a weird screen render using a camera... it seems to be only in 2017/2018 and only when a camera is used... pulses/zooms in-out/grainy.. see attached file/video.. (also, so far,.. it is ONLY this sldprt file... some sort of file corruption? Can anyone using 2017/2018 test and confirm seeing this..?

I have created some basic "fly-thru" photo-realistically rendered animations, which I kicked of on Friday evening to run over the weekend... So my management wants to know, If you were going to build/buy a dedicated system for generating photo-realistically rendered animations, what would you spec ?

Using my older I-7 based computer, with an NVidia Quadro 4000 graphics card, and PhotoView 360, my limited experience leads me to estimate that it will take somewhere between 5 to 8 days to process... during which time it is not advisable to use the computer for anything else...

is there a way to turn off the "preview window"? i use "real graphics view" and it seems a waste of system resources that the "preview window" is always updating; or that when you hit the "render" button, the system fires up the preview window first, then opens the render window.

Been fishing around for a while now but havn't seen a fix for this. I'm trying to render in different camera angles, but the final rendering is staying in one format and location, I've tried locking/unlocking camera and view, creating new cameras deleting all of them, adjusting setting manually. Still isn't working for me.
