The Manufacturing Technology Centre at the Coventry – University of Warwick, UK, developed and implemented a Design, Programming and Robotics residential course this past summer. MTC shared their story with SOLIDWORKS. The goal of the course was to design a robotic rowboat using a combination of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and programming skills to solve an engineering challenge. FIRST Championships FIRST Championships – Detroit April 2018, 405 teams descended on Detroit, MI, and 405 on Houston, TX. Watching the WPI FSAE team during Tilt Test at FORMULA Michigan makes you hold your breath and celebrate the accomplishments of so many young engineers. The SOLIDWORKS team visits with 1000’s of students this time of year at SAE Collegiate Events, Maker Faire’s, Robotics competitions, graduations and more. It is great to see so many wonderful designs and the products students create for senior capstone projects, the middle school science fairs, and Solar Car teams like CalSol from UC Berkeley.
