Every year SOLIDWORKS World celebrates the best of design and innovation, all powered by the passion of our users from all over the world. SOLIDWORKS World is much more than a user conference; it is a gathering of like-minded engineers, designers, and decision-makers who share an interest in learning about the latest tools, techniques, and technologies that can accelerate and improve the way they design. It is three action-packed days of general sessions, technical training, networking, fun, and much more! This year, it was in Dallas and with over 6,000 customers, partners, employees, press and value-added resellers, it was the biggest and best event ever.

If you were unable to attend SOLIDWORKS World 2019, you can catch up on all the action you missed by reading these recap blogs or watching the videos. Just click on the links for the day or days you would like to see.

Day Three

Embracing Change and Looking Ahead

Design technology is constantly evolving as is the way in which it is delivered to customers, so Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS has been working hard at developing technology that will help our customers sustain their respective competitive advantages while also embracing the new design paradigms that will help them in their mission of creating and building the world’s best new products. Providing customers with the ultimate flexibility in choosing the design tools that best fit their needs now and in the future is always top of mind for SOLIDWORKS.

During the first day of SOLIDWORKS World 2019, the crowd heard from SOLIDWORKS CEO, Gian Paolo Bassi about many of these exciting new technologies and how SOLIDWORKS customers will now be able to tap into the power of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform is a cloud-based environment that connects your product development process from ideation through manufacturing and delivery, providing a single source of truth that scales as your organization grows.

Further building on the power of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, Gian Paolo Bassi announced, 3DEXPERIENCE.WORKS, the platform-based portfolio composed of solution offerings by SOLIDWORKS , ENOVIA, SIMULIA, and DELMIA brands, further enabling SOLIDWORKS customers to leverage products and solutions never before offered. Read more about how SOLIDWORKS users will be able to harness the power of the platform in this blog.

New Name, Same Mission

After all the technology announcements, there was one other big announcement: SOLIDWORKS World was changing its name. After 21 years, SOLIDWORKS World would now become 3DEXPERIENCE World. Despite the name change, this event will continue to offer SOLIDWORKS users the same amazing tech sessions, networking opportunities, and let’s face it, fun!

Keep an eye out for our next 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 blog as Gian Paolo Bassi digs deeper into the reasons for the event name change, and why SOLIDWORKS users can expect everything they have come to love about SOLIDWORKS World, and yet be wowed about what they’ll see in February at 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 in Nashville, TN.
