How to Get Started with the App:

  1. Download the app by searching for the CrowdCompass AttendeeHub in your app stores or visit: https://crowd.cc/s/1jihe
  2. Once downloaded, type in “SOLIDWORKS World 2018” in the search bar to download our event
  3. Finally, to leverage the extra features and functionality of the app, you will log in by accessing the side navigation bar. Please enter your first and last name and email address and you will be sent a 4-digit verification which you will use to log in.

Each year, we witness amazing acts of kindness as veteran attendees go above and beyond to assist those new to SOLIDWORKS World. Where’s the general session? Should I bring my computer? What if I forget my badge?! With more than 300 years of combined SOLIDWORKS World experience, our SOLIDWORKS World 2018 Event Ambassadors will have the answers you need and some friendly, experienced advice too! Look for the big red SOLIDWORKS World 2018 Event Ambassador button on their badges and ask away!

First-Timers Meet & Greet: Sunday, February 4, 12:00 – 2:00pm

Open to anyone interested in meeting other rookie attendees, the first-timers meeting will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center Compass Café (right above the registration area near the general session entrance, take the escalators). Join fellow newcomers as SOLIDWORKS World Event Ambassadors will show you the ropes.

Get registered! The registration desk is located in the South Hall Lobby of the convention center and will operate during the following hours:

  • Sunday, February 4: 7:00am to 5:00pm
  • Monday, February 5: 7:00am to 7:00pm
  • Tuesday, February 6: 7:00am to 7:00pm
  • Wednesday, February 7: 7:00am to 2:30pm

Welcome Reception: Sunday, February 4, 1:30-3:30pm

Kick off your SOLIDWORKS World 2018 conference experience by joining us while we celebrate our 20th anniversary at the Welcome Reception located in the South Hall H and J. Network with your peers as you preview over 100 exhibitors and enjoy light refreshments.

Certification Testing: Sunday, February 4, 3:00-7:00pm

The Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) is turning 20 at SOLIDWORKS World 2018! To date, nearly 35,000 people have earned the right to call themselves a CSWP. To celebrate the 20th birthday of this certification, we’re doing something very special for attendees. On Sunday, February 4th, we’ll debut the latest version of the exam to attendees who have signed up to take the exam at the conference. To make it even more special, we’ll only be offering the CSWP exam that day, and it will come with some extra perks available only at SOLIDWORKS World 2018. Open testing spots are limited to the first 240 people who complete their conference registration, and is limited to customers only, so be sure to register for the conference early and grab one of the spots!

Breakfast is served daily from Monday, February 5 through Wednesday, February 7 in South Hall H&J from 7:00 to 8:15am.

Lunch is served daily, Monday, February 5 through Wednesday, February 7, in South Hall H&J from 12:00 to 1:30pm.

General Sessions take place daily, Monday, February 5 through Wednesday, February 7, in South Hall K from 8:30 to 10:00am. Be there early for a good seat to see great keynote speakers including Neri Oxman, Kyoungchul Kong, Brent Bushnell, and Michael Jagemann. The Partner Pavilion features 106 exhibitors as well as cool SOLIDWORKS user-created products to get your hands on – including new manufacturing and startup product showcases. Click here to view the exhibitor directory. The Partner Pavilion will operate during the following hours:

  • Sunday: Welcome Reception, 1:30 – 3:30pm
  • Monday: 10:00am – 4:30pm, Evening Reception: 6:00 – 8:00pm
  • Tuesday: 10:00am – 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 10:00am – 2:30pm

Join us for the Beach and Brews Special Event at L.A. Live Event Deck on Tuesday, February 6 from 7:00 to 10:00pm. From Santa Monica to Malibu, Venice to Laguna, the beach is the place to be in Southern California.There will be a live band, dancing, drinks, local cuisine and games, including some cool “digital” games from Two Bit Circus—you won’t want to miss it! All full conference attendees are welcome to join. And if you have a guest who doesn’t want to lose out, no problem, just make sure to purchase an upgraded ticket. The L.A. Live Event Deck entrance is located at the corner of Georgia and West Streets (just behind the Microsoft Theatre).

Learning Paths. Back by popular demand, there will be four Learning Paths that users can follow to become immersed in four key areas of design and manufacturing technology. The paths include the RISE in smart connected Products, Model Based Enterprise (MBE), Additive Manufacturing Symposium, and Integrated Design and Manufacturing. The sessions will be taught by SOLIDWORKS employees, partners and industry experts. You can view the learning paths and all sessions in the agenda.
