Don’t miss out on the learning and networking opportunities below! Don’t forget the sessions we have on Monday and Tuesday! And be sure to visit the Education Zone Product Showcase in the Partner Pavilion. Students and educators, register today.

SOLIDWORKS Student Job Fair

This session brings together students and industry recruiters to possibly fill some real job openings with local industrial customers. Companies represented include MLC CAD, GoEngineer, Dassault Systemes, Trimech, Vizient Manufacturing Solutions, Inc., Acuity Brands, AMS Heli Design, XYZ Robotics, Vermeer, In2 Innovation, and MCR Oil Tools. For college and university students only. All attendees will receive certification vouchers (CSWA and CSWP exams) at the end of the session.

Life After School: A Discussion Panel for Students by Professional SOLIDWORKS Users

This session provides students this great opportunity to meet and interact directly with companies and SOLIDWORKS customers, so they can hear what life could be like after graduation and the steps they should take in the meantime to help boost their careers. All attendees will receive certification vouchers (CSWA and CSWP exams) at the end of the session.

Building the Future of STEM for Less Than 50 Dollars

This session discusses the student initiative EKGAR—Every Kid Gets A Robot—by a FIRST Robotics Competition mentor and a student. The focus will be on the impact that this less than $50 robot has on kids, as well as how it was created and is used to attract student interest in SOLIDWORKS. Attendees from any background will benefit in this customer success story, seeing student user representation and how they better their community through their invention. They will learn about the impact of EKGAR, how it has attracted students to CAD and learn about the STEM educational community.

Transforming the Canada France Hawaii Telescope with SOLIDWORKS

This session will explore how SOLIDWORKS took the speaker from a 3D drafter and custom motorcycle builder at night to one of the world’s most productive optical observatories in Hawaii where he works as an Instrument Designer and Machinist.  Attendees who are research or education users they hear about how the speaker chose to deal with a massive model, his early struggles with a bad VAR and how Go Engineer has saved him. The message is to SPEAK UP and never settle for anything – there are people who are listening!
