Bringing together design, prototyping and short-run production with 3D CAD knowledge and 3D printing methods, 3dl.tech supports their clients’ needs. Because 3dl.tech makes prototypes for their clients, they have been able to experience many different industries. They have worked with laboratory equipment that simulates human organs, designed various types of electronic equipment enclosures, AR motorbike helmets, innovative air deflectors, produced jigs, fixtures, smartwatches, massage equipment, LED street lighting and more.

While part of a two year incubator  Akademicki Inkubator Przedsiębiorczości Politechniki Wrocławskiej or in English, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology Academic Business Incubator, 3dl.tech joined up with some other space-enthusiasts and competed in the NASA 3D printed habitat challenge contest. Their concept of 3D printed Martian based habitat was selected for the finals at The NY World Maker Fair. They competed alongside experienced professionals like, The European Space Agency engineers, Columbia/Princeton scientist team and Foster & Partner architects.

I got in touch with the Co-founder, mechanical engineer and 3D printing specialist, Piotr Gruber, about his experience with 3dl.tech, “working in 3dl.tech is developing and interesting for us mostly due to the various engineering tasks and use of Additive Manufacturing as a key tool to help our customers. Our entire team learned SOLIDWORKS while studying at Wroclaw University of Science & Technology. This early knowledge of the software and the intuitive handling, multitude of helpful design tools, and multi-format compatibility was the key to why we chose SOLIDWORKS.

3dl.tech is looking to increase their production capacity through obtaining new equipment for their machine park.
