Unfolding sheet metal

All you need is a SOLIDWORKS ID, or a new or existing 3DEXPERIENCE ID.
I have this customer part that I need to unfold to make a lasercutting file from. The part is bent like in picture 1 in both ends. I do a normal convert to sheet metal and it works fine. But when I unfold it, the geometery changes and I loose the bit marked in blue in the second picture. Can someone please tell me why this happens because I am tired of manually changing the DXF files.
