How do i merge an imported surface?

All you need is a SOLIDWORKS ID, or a new or existing 3DEXPERIENCE ID.
This part is an imported surface and i'm trying to fill in the center rectangle. When i try to use boss extrude or sheet metal to fill it in, i can't seem to "merge them" so its seamless.
