 Unavailable tools & unable to save

All you need is a SOLIDWORKS ID, or a new or existing 3DEXPERIENCE ID.

Has anyone had an issue where many of the Solidworks tools become grayed out including being able to "save" or "save as"? I can end the task thru the task manager but was hoping there was some other method. I've seen this problem occur over the years but thought I'd ask the question.
