Can anyone recommend someone (company or individual) who can custom write a macro for SolidWorks?

We have a requirement for a special type of Balloon annotation for our assembly drawings.  And our local tech support doesn't seem capable of doing this (or not interested).

thanks,  ...Jack

Deepak Gupta might be able to help out as well.

Our VAR is finishing up a little program/macro for us. So far it is very good. The VAR name is GSC. They are in Wisconsin. Here is a link to their webpage: GSC | 3D Engineering Solutions Provider – SOLIDWORKS & Stratasys Partner

Thanks for the shout-out Duncan

Jack, can you elaborate the requirements in more details and there might be a similar existing macro available.

Deepak asked for more info, thinking that there might be a macro already available.

Here's an example (showing a balloon, and our special annotation).  Our annotation consists of 3 things based on the BOM: the circled item number, the part number, and the quantity

Jack, can you use the split balloon method?

Maybe....  first impression is it's big and how does it handle a stack of parts?   But I'll try that method and see if my engineer buys into it.

Thanks Deepak!

The balloon don't need to be round.  You can pick other shape so it'll be smaller.

I'm late to this, but I thought I'd also mention Artem Taturevych.  He also knows programming...The more people looking at it the better.

but only the circle style has the split option with two texts - right?

I like how all the information is included in a single balloon, but the circle is way to big to accommodate our 11-digit PN, especially when stacked together.

Sorry didn't know that.

I cheat with stacking the balloons:

Not easy to do.  Don't know if it can be save as style.
