Solidworks subscription.

I have an active Solidworks subscription for Solidworks Profesional on a network.  I also have a version of Solidworks Simulation not under subscription.  How can I get my Solidworks login to recognize that I have an active subscription?  When I type in my serial number it says it's not active...  Are there two different serial numbers?

Re: Solidworks subscription.

This is a question for your VAR, since you have a subscription.

I am pretty sure they do have different serial numbers.

Re: Solidworks subscription.

Any idea how to look at the other serial numbers?  I have a couple of optional networked (with subscriptions) modules running on this computer.  However, the only serial number that seems to show up is the one without the subscription that does not have a network license.

I know the Solidworks Professional is pulling a license (I can see it on the Solidowrks Network License Manager) from the network.

Re: Solidworks subscription.

To see the serial numbers you would have to modify the installation or look in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SolidWorks\Licenses\Serial Numbers

If you have a network license and a standalone license they definitely have different serial numbers.

Re: Solidworks subscription.

Hi Greg,

Your SOLIDWORKS can be one network serial number and the Simulation will be a separate standalone serial number installed when installing the software. The caveat of installing this was is the network, on subscription serial number can be updated to later versions where the not-on-subscription Simulation will not be able to be upgraded so you may run into files that are created in a newer version than can be read into the Simulation package.

I hope that helps
