I'm working in sw09 sp3, vista 64, and when I try to make aThicken or Offset surface feature and the feature fails, SW doesn'tgive an error message. Any one else seeing this? Also, when doing a Tools, Check and looking for minimum radius, thearrow often points to an area off the part that was trimmed off inan earlier operation. Not sure if any of this is new with sp3 ornot.

Hi, all. One of our drafters got this error message uponopening a part. It's got the vbExclamation icon attached to themessage box, so we KNOW it'sIMPORTANT... we're just not... real sure... why....Fortunately, we had an easy time deciding which button to choose...See attached for exclamation... er... explanation. Thanx, hopeeveryone gets as much of a kick from this as we did.SolidworksParts And Features

Hi I've been given this part where all dimensions appear to be defined. I'm trying to change the width, but I can't seem to find the dimension for width: Does anyone know how the width can be changed? Another question is, how are each points actually defined? Most of the points can't be changed but they appear to be defined.

Given either a part property or global variable in `equations' representing the porosity of a material, is it possible to create a parameterized expression for material density which is some function of porosity? The question of whether one can represent the density of a material as a function of temperature should be effectively the same. Any advice is greatly appreciated. SolidworksParts And Features
