In Solid Works Plastics, is it possibly to export the fill time animation to edrawings so I can rotate the model while it is filling? SolidworksSimulation

Hi All, When I'm trying to add a Flat area to my Skeleton Bridge as a walking path, it always fails in simulation, "Not Enough Fixtures". It do work when I remove it, I tried that many times with single part or Assembly, both fails, How can we solve this issue? and succeed the Simulation? Any Ideas? SolidworksSimulation

Hi, does anyone know what can i do to fix stress peak? I think that it is due to the mesh but refining only increase stress value. I attached an image. SolidworksSimulation

I have a part where the geometry varies rapidly along one axis but very slowly along another. I am modeling the part as a shell. I know how to create different mesh sizes for different faces but is it possible for the shell mesh size to be different along different axes. SolidworksSimulation

I am trying to simulate spot welds but the I cannot find the Spot Welds option in the Connections Advisor. The only options in the drop down menu are "Contact Set", "Component Contact", "Pin" and "Spring". SolidworksSimulation

Alright I am driving myself crazy. Trying to ensure I am not going to break either wrench tooth off. I have constrained it but I don't necessarily know if I believe solidworks (potentially due to a constraint error?) I figured the teeth would show signs of displacement at least a small amount? I have attached my files SolidworksSimulation

Hey there Is it possible to define a custom moment of interia for a beam? I do have fairly complex profiles and I want to avoid to geometrically model the cross section. In other FEA tools, it is possilbe to define beam elements just by two points and the inertia's with respect to the local element coordinate system. Does Solidworks Simulation offer anything like that?

Here is a right view of an assembly I created. If I wanted to simulate where its final resting position would be due to gravity/weight (assuming the rod doesn't flex) is that possibly in solidworks? I can get the CG no problem, but the angled face I would like to make vertical. SolidworksSimulation

20 years ago, I saw engineering FEA guy always put a note for responsibility waiver, such as "Do not accept or reject a design based solely on the data presented in this report", etc. 10 years ago, I saw it, engineering guy thought it is okay. At present, the FEA report I review, the similar note are still there. what is your opinion? SolidworksSimulation

Hi I try to simulate wire spool analysis to find displacement when the cable is wrapped. I attached images to better understand. The force should be big towards the outside of the surface. I have 2 questions.

Dear All, Is anybody knows what is the meaning of error "DSTAR has stopped working" while solving the frequency study in SolidWorks 2015? Is there any way of fixing this error? SolidworksSimulation

I'm doing an analysis a support component which will hold an antenna that weights about 5 lb. I see an option for remote load and also an option for a remote mass. What's the difference between the two, and in what situations would each be applied? Thanks! SolidworksSimulation

I had installed the Solidworks with simulation professional license and I had enabled the Simulation addin but when I tried to select the New study in the addin i'm not able to select "Its showing like a Hidden option ". I had also tried that KB3072630 but it also not working. SolidworksSimulation

The two types of materials are Grapes and pieces of wood. My project revolves around taking out debris from grapes for a winery's flow process, i want to simulate different screen/mesh patterns but want to know if this is even possible with Solidworks, if not are there any other programs out there i should consider. What will be the shell thickness for a solid shaft in simulation? I am running a edge weld simulation between a solid shaft(44.45mm) and a hollow shaft? I am defining the solid shaft as a shell. But having trouble about the shell thickness.

Hi all, I have released the book on 2016 version of SolidWorks Simulation. I have tried to address common doubts in working with SolidWorks Simulation inside my book. I hope you will find the book helpful. The link is next. http://www.amazon.com/SolidWorks-Simulation-2016-Black-Book/dp/1523393742 SolidworksSimulation
