I am having problems with SW09 SP 2.1. After saving it should remove the gray background in the thumbnailpreview in explorer but this is not working. The first part Iconverted to SW09 cleared the gray background in the preview andnow it is not doing this on any other parts or assemblies. I actually changed a dimension and saved then changed it back so Idid have a part change but it will not remove the grayedbackground. SolidworksGeneral

Hello, I am having trouble with SolidWorks finding the template filelocations in a computer lab that has been ghost imaged. I'm wondering how many people actually use the fillet bead command and actually configure those features so that the "As Machined" and "As Welded" configurations relate to the real world. I find the fillet bead command extremely limited - it can only be applied to between two faces that are at right angles. What if I wanted to display a weld bead in my drawing that is between two surfaces that are tangent (see pic for example)? During previous projects I have not used this command and I insert

Howdy, I recently got my hands on a copy of SW2009 (liking it so far :D ).So I wanted to try to update my method for accessing the WindowsRegistry. We had been doing our weldments like assemblies to begin with because OUr SW dealer didn't sell us on weldments because they talked about it like structural members etc. and we are a heavy equipment manufacturer and our weldment consist of Heavy plates etc....very little structural members. We subcontracted some work out and this guy suggested that we use weldments functionality to deal with our "weldment" We bought what he was

I'm interested in modifying a property that I have set up in thepart and assembly templates....but I don't want to open everydrawing to do it... You can imagine that I have a directory of parts and assembliesthat are standard parts.... And I copy some of them...and theirassociated drawings to a new folder... This new folder is specialfor a PROJECT.

We are currently running drop test studies. 1 Analysis willtake at least 170 hours to complete. We had power failures in thenight longer than our UPS can handle. I get a "No Geometry" message when importing an Orcad IDFfile into CircuitWorks (see attachment). I have sent the problem to my VAR (NTCADCAM) and received thefollowing: At the moment the problem with this file set is that eachinstance of the missing components does not have a correspondingentry in the library file (.emp) for each part number. This is a strange question, I know. Is it possible to print aSW drawing to a file that I can sneakernet to another PC that doesnot have SW and print it there? I am modeling an assembly in Simulation 2009 and I havenoticed that the mesh seems to be incompatible between the solidsand the shells, regardless of whether they're touching or I createcontact sets or I create split lines on the shell.
