Hi all, been modelling a small part - did a bit of surface modelling to fill in a gap. Didnt quite take and wont make it a solid or merge. but then more of the part has the blue lines running along it and i cant seem to knit it all together properly. any help and suggestions? first thing I don't like about 2010 is you can't exit a sketch by double clicking off in space... according to SW "this is the intended behavior and it has been fixed in 2010" what gives! yes, I know I can mouse gesture and all that.. but man SolidworksSketching

I currently have toolbox installed on my local drive but itnow needs to go on a network drive for other users to access. Theonly trouble is that I don't seem able to install it to the networkdrive from the dvd, is it possible to move the folder and re-mapusing the configurator?SolidworksToolbox

The tree Save Part (in external File) dialog window Open virtual part and get Save as dialog window So, here we see that these dialog windows are different. Save as dialog is nearly I need: "Assem1 Part9" or "Assem1_Part9" or "Assem1-Part9" or (some prefix case). So please make these dialogs equal and add option for prefix (suffix) and delimiter. How do I trim away the bottom of the circle sketch using the tangency points of the intersecting lines? I'm trying to do it with power trim however I can't select the intersection point in relation to the circle. It always thinks I'm selecting the line end point. SolidworksGeneral

I have sketched lines of varying widths in a .slddrw file. When I open the .slddrw file in eDrawings, all the lines are thesame width and they all print the same width. Is there a way to correct this? GuySolidworksEdrawings

Hi everybody, There is a part and I have created text which is linked to some dimensions of the part (photo 1). When I delete the reference dimension, a long text (dimension reference address) is created by the software because the dimension does not exist anymore (photo 2). Title says it all. I am using Inventor terminology when I say 'consumed'. This means that the sketch is not utilized by a feature, and exist as itself in the feature tree. Inventor has an easy way to check, with a Boolean property sketch.Consumed.
