Why...does SolidWorks, when I initiate a cut, more often than not go away from the part and give me the "intended cut does not intersect the model?? If the software knows where the model is, why doesn't it default to the valid direction??
SWIFT = SolidWorks International Forum Team How many times do you see a great thread get trashed or hijacked for various reasons and I'll take the "Stand" and say I'm the worst for doing that.. So when I'm acting stupid tell me to trash it here, get it?
If I have only one part in assembly orbiting is smooth and GPU meter shows about 20%. When I put more parts (let say 40 parts) in assembly GPU meter gets down to about 4% and orbiting is slow/lagging. I used before SW2017 and with that assemblies (several hundreds parts) worked fine, orbiting was smooth and no lagging but with SW2019 I cannot orbit (extremely slow) these same assemblies anymore. Is there some settings that I have missed?
After seeing the good discussions here (to list only a few):Will the Top Ten List be handled differently this year?,https://forum.solidworks.com/message/689652#comment-689652,Simplify the Enhancement Request System and Tie it Into the ForumsI wanted to summarize how I think the ideas are viewed before and after voting. The submitted ideas are typically all over the map or chart in this case.
This question is directed atJim Wilkinson,Jody Stilesand anyone else at SWX that is in such a position to answer. In the past the Top Ten Wish List has been a very active place, but it has only been temporary. It opens sometimes around the rollouts (October?) and closes for new contributions in mid-December (I think), butthe problem I see is that it completely vanishes from this forum around the end of SWX World.
Was working on a part last night, dutifully saving every 20 mins. Went to reopen the file today and it was noted to have last been modified/saved hours prior to the time I remember finishing up and clicking the save button for the last time. Is there any way of rectifying this or must I accept my fate and redo the whole thing?
Yep, it's definitely possible............ Actually instead of rings, I have helix that I want to make a circular pattern of 16 helix. But I don't know how to make the image of one coil and arrange them in a circular pattern like in the figure you shown.
On behalf of the SOLIDWORKS team, thank you to everyone for ideas submitted to the SOLIDWORKS World 2019 Top Ten List. We are happy to see that even though the idea submissions window was a little shorter this year, the number of submissions is on par with previous years. This shows a lot of enthusiasm!
Hi all. I've tried my hardest to find a solution to this issue on these forums, but nothing is fully helping (though there is a lot of helpful advice on here!). I'm hoping someone out there may have a suggestion for a fix I've yet to try.
I have tried to do a clean installation, improve performance by disabling some visual effects on windows and disabling all programs like antivirus ecc.... I have the same computer in another position with the same configurations ( except for CPU that is a Intel I7-7600) without any kind of problem like it.
I used an image to draw an object but now need to change to orientation so it matches the centre line X axis - ie the two points (feet) need to sit along the centre line Im not quite clear what I need to search for in the help so thought a picture of part of the object would maybe enable someone to point me in the right direction
Hi everyone. I have been using draftisght for about a year now and recently started having a problem with editing text boxes. When I double click on a textbox to edit the text draftisight auto zooms in on the textbox. Then when I click outside the textbox it auto zooms back out.
I don't know if the Microsoft version matters or not. I am also concerned about making using a Macro to make things easier and faster after linking SW BOM to Excel. Jive Software Version: 2018.10.0.1_jx, revision: 20181102150941.22e8dc7.release_2018.10.0-jx
I am getting really bad edge lines on the models as you can see in image. When I zoom out these models just go completely black and are super ugly. I have gone into Options>Document Properties>Image Quality and cranked anything or ticked anything that can possibly relate to a better image. Also in Performance.
