We are going to be upgrading our engineering workstations with Win7x64. The question I have is should I be looking at more RAM as well? I know that the 64bit will see all of the RAM (not just the 3 or 3.5 that x32 xp does currently) Thanks...Rob SolidworksAdministration

http://ninite.com/ This site is pretty cool for those of you that build up machines (probably outside of your company, but still useful) You go through and select the programs you wish to install and it builds an installer for you that contains all the products with default settings. Worth a looksee. SolidworksAdministration

Yes. They are currently twice as expensive as they were a few months ago, due to the flooding in Thailand. http://www.networkcomputing.com/tapes-and-disks/231902183 Darn, wish I would have read that article a couple weeks ago. Consider Solid State Drives instead. Still more expensive, but the cost/value rate just got cut in half. SolidworksAdministration

Since we have upgraded from 2014 SP2 to SP5 users are getting "You do not have permission to access the database in the vault" when accessing Hole Wizard the first time in SW. I found the attached SPR 573348 and it references S-053715 which appears to be missing in action. Has anybody run into this and if so have you gotten around it? SolidworksAdministration

Has anyone implemented SAML/OKTA/2FA with EPDM logins? From my understanding EPDM does not support any of the above. Thanks! SolidworksAdministration

I currently have Solidworks 2017 and Solidworks 2015 with CFD running on my workstation. My predecessor opted not to upgrade the CFD when he upgraded to 2017 Solidworks. I would like to move the 2015 with CFD to a new machine. Since both installs have the same serial number will I deactivate the 2017 when I deactivate the 2015 and CFD to move them to the new machine? This mouse is suppose to have a different and better type ofscroll wheel. I was wondering if this makes zooming in and out withthe scroll wheel using Solidworks less tedious. Is it really muchbetter if any? I have a Spacepilot that I feel is good for movingthe model around but for a straight zoom-in and zoom-out I stilluse the scroll wheel.SolidworksAdministration
