How do you split an existing edge in #SOLIDWORKS? This is a critical skill for surface modeling when working with imported geometry. This is one way to do it: https://youtu.be/XpMUFwki6XY What is your technique? step Surfacing Surfaces loft boundary

Hello, I am having a hard times modeling this case with a sharp line around the corners. I have been using the tool " boundary surface " with sketches in both directions. Let me know if that's something someone can help me with. Thanks in advance, Celia SolidworksSurfacing

I have posted my SolidWorks World presentation from SolidWorks World: Surfacing, Where Do I Even Start? Hopefully SolidWorks will post the official videos soon, I think this one might be best with the audio track to go along with it. SolidworksSurfacing

I am starting to do more surfacing in my models (medicaldesign) and I was wondering what is an acceptable deviation betweenfaces for injection molded plastic parts? Thanks, AdamSolidworksSurfacing

Hi, I have a surface that I would like to thicken, however I need the thickness to be non uniform. Ideally i'm looking for a way of imposing a sort of grey scale map onto the surface and create a thickness using it. Is there a way to do this or another way that would achieve the same thing. The surface I need to thicken is a very organic shape to start with.

Hi everyone, The surface body named Surface-Trim13 won't thicken to 2mm as needed - any suggestions would be great, thanks. File attached. SolidworksSurfacing

This is encouraging, it would be very handy to have an option for G2 with edge blends. Face blends to achieve this is just a hassle! http://www.tenlinks.com/news/PR/siemens_plm/100213_parasolid.htm SolidworksSurfacing

Hi all, I tried the like Measure, Section properties & Mass properties to find the surface area of the body. I couldn't able to get a one-click answer. So, later I calculated individually(or two surfaces) to find all areas of the surface. SolidworksSurfacing

Hi everyone! I'm Romain, new to this forum I would like to introduce you this SolidWorks tutorial I made. It aims at modeling an Aston Martin One-77. You can find it here : http://www.solidworks-aston-martin-one77.com/ This car tutorial is complete, available as PDF, you only need to know the basics of SolidWorks.
