We have been trying to run a simulation on a large rack for acouple of weeks now and have had nothing but problems. Our hardware specs are as follows: Dell T5400 Intel Zeon Quad E5430 2.66Ghz 16 Gig Ram 64 bit vista During the meshing phase if you look at the task manager theprocessor is limited to 13%. It has never gone above this no matterwhat size model we try. Are dealer has not been able to figure thisout.

Hi I have a part opened in SolidWorks. This part has an externalmirror reference to another part. My question is: How can I get the plane which was used to mirrorthe reference part? I only managed to get the path to the original part using this C#code: ModelDoc2 modelDoc = m_appSolidWorks.ActiveDoc as ModelDoc2;

The images for the February PhotoWorks Rendering Contest havebeen posted for voting. We have 13 entries this month. To keepvoting as fair as possible we will follow the "3 vote" rule we'veused in the past. Instead of voting for your favorite image thismonth you'll want to vote for your top 3 favorite images.

Hi All (Sorry I rant a little here) I'm currently using Desktop EDA which I love and works perfectly,but as I just had an upgrade to Premium I thought I might as wellgive Circuitworks a chance. Especially as Desktop EDA is moving toa yearly subs model. Hopefully it will do what I want. So far I've setup my library (would be nice if I could use analready existing DB rather than maintaining two dbs though.

If you delete a sub-project from Vault Admin, will it deletethe files that are in that sub-project or move them to the upperlevel project? Thank you, Scott MooreSolidworksWorkgroup Pdm

Looking for workstation recommendations Looking workstation recommendations as we are in need of updatingour current hardware. Our current workstations are to slow and theCPU is constantly maximized. The recommended system requirementsthat Solidworks provides are just too slow. We are not looking forthe fastest stations around but something that will be asignificant improvement over our current system.

I'm working with the PDMW API to create a custom client appand I have a question about custom properties. These properties arespecified in the Vault Admin Tool and should be applied to alldocuments in the vault regardless of document type. Is it the Vault's responsibility to add these properties to thefile or the clients? It seems when I check something in via the API (using the CheckInmethod provided) that only the default 6 properties get added tothe document.

Hi all, I have been playing around with the frequency simulation, doing astudy on a part using different approaches and meshes. What I amdoing a study on is a hollow core metal door with a uniform wallthickness of .125". I have approached it in the following ways: 1. As a solid body with a very fine, standard mesh.

On my XP32 system when I use the File Open dialog I canselect the type of file to use as a filter (e.g. sldprt, slddrw,sldasm). On subsequent File Open cycles (during the same session) the filterremains in place until I select a different one. I find this veryconvenient and desirable. On my Vista64 sytem the filter resets to the "SolidWorks FileSuite" wildcard every time.

Having recently upgraded to SoildWorks09 with a FloSimulationAdd-in, I have been running some older projects again to getfamiliar with how things have changed. If I just re-run the simulation, with the same FloSimulationProject, I get ridiculously low temperature outcomes e.g max tempsof 20.6 where there were 60.9 degrees C. Making a new FloSimulation Project with exactly the same goals,gives 59.7 degrees C rather than 60.9 degrees C maximum. Has anyone else experienced this?SolidworksFlow
