When dimsioning I get suffix of "D1" "D2" "D3" how do I get rid of these "D's" SolidworksParts And Features
Hi all, been modelling a small part - did a bit of surface modelling to fill in a gap. Didnt quite take and wont make it a solid or merge. but then more of the part has the blue lines running along it and i cant seem to knit it all together properly. any help and suggestions? I have a steel truss, the truss has a pattern , I need to do array for the pattern between two inclined lines . I cann't use linear pattern . I am trying to use fill pattern , but I don't know how to use bodies in fill pattern. Because it is not feature to pattern , it is bodies , so could you please tell how. ?

Guys, I'm hoping this is a really simple fix. I know somewhat of where this came from, but not specifically where. Long story short, the red outlined word doesnt need to be there, it could say "part" for all I care. I went through the document and part properties and have been unable to locate it.

Does anyone know how to change each parameter for a parabola without the other values changing? Basically I have estimated the coordinates I want for the parabola but each time I type them in for the different points, the other ones keep changing! Am I missing something here? I haven't used the Mirror Components feature in a long time, but tried it today. I can see that it seems to have all the right features now, but it is far too confusing and hard to understand. SW, please clean up the user interface on this tool. By the way, I'm working in 2011 today, so if you've already fixed it, I guess I'm late to the party.
SolidWorks 2014 has added Conic Section tools in the sketcher and the fillet tool. Now you can create conic sketch entities that are automatically tangent. In 2014, the mirror part feature can only transfer custom properties to the new part if it is multi-body. An unwanted weldment feature is also created in mirrors of single-body parts. Workaround: 1. cut original part in half 2. mirror part 3. delete cut SolidworksParts And Features
