Don't let that change slip by you! So you can now make your Skeleton Sketch Part an Envelope and set this setting...Now SW won't allow part to part relations that aren't to that SSP. I haven't played with this yet, but it could really help the SSP workflow. SolidworksAssemblies
I have a doubt: Is it possible to create a Macro, Button or Instruction to generate automaticly a Exploded View where we can put the separation dimension for each component and the direction (an Assembly tube system for example). The tree Save Part (in external File) dialog window Open virtual part and get Save as dialog window So, here we see that these dialog windows are different. Save as dialog is nearly I need: "Assem1 Part9" or "Assem1_Part9" or "Assem1-Part9" or (some prefix case). So please make these dialogs equal and add option for prefix (suffix) and delimiter. Welcome to the forum. If you mean you have the doors for the left side, and need some for the right side, use the "Mirror Components" function in the Assembly. After choosing the plane and components to mirror, click on the small blue arrow at the top of the PropertyManager, then select the "Create opposite hand version" icon near the bottom. I have an assembly which has been copied. The explosion steps exist but the models have not moved. I know you can insert the assembly into another a new assembly and explode it by using the "Re-use" function but I would prefer to resolve the problem assembly. SolidworksAssemblies

Can someone help me. This just starting happing to me within the past 2 days. Whenever I create a mate in an assembly, the mate menu opens up, I create my mate and then the menu closes. I have to reopen the mate command every time I want to continue mating.
I have no idea how this got missed, but it keeps screwing me up everytime I use the command. For instance, a coincident shows a concentric mate icon, a parallel mate shows a coincident mate icon, etc. This would be easier if I could just show a screenshot. Hope somebody else has noticed this lack of attention to detail. SolidworksAssemblies

Hi all, when I need to use "more mates" to fix one part I have to relaunch the mate command again and again for each mate; Not sure about, but I remember that few year/versions ago the comand was active till the end of the entire operation Is there a special flag that I have to check? Maybe everyone else knows this, but I just discovered that the much hated and often accidental function of hiding parts by holding down Tab and dragging the cursor over them is a default keyboard shortcut. It can be deleted, and I have done so. SolidworksAssemblies

We have to share our cad models (assembly files) to our vendor. But we would like to add some inaccuracy to the model so that no one can do reverse engineering to our product. Please let me know is there any options to do the same? I know the option “defeature”.
