Hi everybody, We produce sheet metal parts and need a software or program to export all sheet metal parts in an assembly to DXF format, but it must be customized to our needs. I will appreciate you if you recommend me any software or program. If someone can help us, we can work together. Thanks SolidworksSheet Metal

I designed a backhoe bucket and the flat pattern for the shell is too long. It should be ~55", but is ending up being 104". I am using the same method that I use for all our other buckets, including previous backhoe buckets, and never had this problem. Part is attached.

I want to create lofted bend which passes through 3 sketches, Which I can Make flatten in sheet metal and roll it. Or any other technique to create this loft from 3 sketches and convert in sheet metal and make it flatten will also fine for me. Please give me some ideas so that I can learn and improve my knowledge. Any idea would be appreciated.

I am running into an issue with an imported .step file. I would like to convert the model to sheet metal and flatten to develop tooling to produce the part. I running into an issue with some of the bends returning an error that the geometry is too complex. I have attached a sample of the file as a .step.

I am mirroring a sheet metal part, and the corner relief in the flat patterns do not match. How can I rectify this? Both are set to "tear" as the auto-relief option under the Sheet-Metal feature. SolidworksSheet Metal

I am doing a print for a stainless steel sheet metal part and I don't know how to call out this type of finish. I believe one of our vendors calls it "Time Saver finish" but my understanding is that is a brand name machine. What is the generic term for this that I should put on the print. Polished finish?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djPmfTJPLto This will lessen the impact of PDF prints when importing data, at least I feel it would for me. It does show this being done in 2014 though the process may be similar and work in other versions. SolidworksSheet Metal

Hi, I am trying to make this structure using sheets. In the absense of guide curve in the sheetmetal lofted bend option, I had to make it as a part first. My guide curve is third degree polynomial. Now I can't flatten this using "Convert to sheetmetal" option.
