I was working on a part, when I edited a sketch plane's (plane 16) reference angle and for some reason, everything grayed out and it doesn't let me change the "show" on those grayed out parts. It also grayed out items in the tree that come before the plane was defined so I don't think it has to do with that. If anyone could tell me what is happening I'd appreciated it. SolidworksGeneral

Hi, I'm trying to fix the moving part of a rudder to make it a solid body. I have managed to cover the holes and patch some other bits of the initial drawing and get most of it as a solid body but the holes remain not part of the solid body. Hi, I'm trying to alter this geometry part to make it a solid part, without holes. To do this, I need to mend the open surfaces seen in the pictures. I've tried multiple things like: - Deleting the faces and creating splines on surface; - Knitting the faces together But they don't seem to work.
Since SP1 SW2021 shows up with a blueish title bar on top. Is this intentional? If so than I ask myself why? Everything needed to be grayish / blueish (supposedly for the colorblind, which I applaud if it helps) some versions ago.
I am unable to change the thread size for different configurations of a part. When I change to 1"-13 to .75"-10, all of my configurations change. I can change the depth of the cut though, but not the size & thread count. How do you change thread size for different configurations?
I am trying to automate a knife plate+bolt+washer+nut installation, and have that part be brought into DIFFERENT assemblies with different configurations. Can smart components be used outside the assembly they are created in? When would you use a smart component? Any input appreciated!
