The new free surface option in SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation 2018 is fantastic. Here's a simulation of pouring water from a water bottle into a mug. Please share your animations to show off what you've solved. The deadline for submitting an idea for the top ten list has been extended to December 16th! You can submit an idea by going to the SOLIDWORKS 2016 Top Ten List area. Make sure the idea title is succinct, but descriptive enough for others to easily understand it. Voting will begin on December 17, 2015.

This is the final meshing of the curved tube within tube (please see the figure for your reference). Is it possible to fill the gap near boundary wall (please refer to the figure - a sketch note can be seen)? I used automatic meshing for this figure (default mesh scale of 3), I also try to refine it (scale of 8) but still the same gaps are observed. SolidworksFlow Simulation

Hello, this is another thing that we will maybe see soon, the LED module. http://www.mentor.com/products/mechanical/products/upload/floefd-led-module.pdf It will be very useful in the lighting industry. I'm just curious, Flow Simulation uses a wizard extensively for setting the starting conditions of a study. I'd use the General Options just out of principle, because I dislike wizards. I guess it would help if it were integrated in the FeatureManager but then again, seven or so steps might be pushing it eitherway you take it. Like or Dislike ?

Hi Guys, Can anybody tell me if we can do pressure drop calculations forabout 30Kms of pneumatic pipework? I am running SW2009 SP1 on a core2duo with 2GB of RAM. ThanksSolidworksFlow Simulation

What is the best approach to simulating a system (heatsink)where the airflow is provided by a backwards curved motorizedimpeller fan such as this one? http://www.ebmpapst.us/allpdfs/R1G175.PDF With axial fans it is easy to simulate the swirl. How does one doit with these? Thank you, -Martin SolidworksFlow Simulation

I am new to Flow Simulation. I have a new Dell T7400 with4-core and 8GB RAM running XP. When solving, the CPR runs between25 and 85% while the Memory Usage is only 700,000K to 900,000K. Why is the memory usage so low?

I was wondering if fillets are removed or kept for flowsimulations, I've read of strength simulations being done withoutdress up features such as fillets. Somehow I think they're going to be very important in determininghow the material flows so I'm going to want to include them, but amI correct on this? The simulations are to be done with hot aluminium through amould.SolidworksFlow Simulation
