We use DriveWorks Pro, and are considering using routing. Has anybody used these two addons, or any flavor of DriveWorks successfully with Routing before? SolidworksRouting
Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to edit the circuit summarytable in order to have the pin ID of a connection point in the''from'' and ''to'' column? For example, the table I built show thepart name in the ''from'' column and I would like to add the pin IDafter the part name like: part_name-pin_ID. Can someone help me with that issue? ThanksSolidworksRouting
Hello everyone. How can I change the pipe wall thickness in routing in existing assembly? I tried to change the route properties -> base configuration, but it doesn't work. SolidworksRouting
I am wondering if anyone uses threaded bushings in thererouting assemblies and if so how they have them configured to work(what type of routing component what mate relationship, c point, and r point? I would also if possible like them to be inserted into the piperoute and not be a separate route even though it is anotherdiameter. Tim AngertSolidworksRouting
Hi, I'n new to Solidworks, Routing and this forum, so forgivemy ignorance, but... My default file locations are setup for creating normal drawings, however when i flatten a electrical route to a drawing, it doesn'tappear with my drawing template automattically, and i can't findwhere to configure this. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks JamesSolidworksRouting
Hi. I'm trying to use route application but all the pipes to pick arein IN. and I need a specific size (6 mm), how can I change the pipesize but still using this application???
Hi Can someone explain to me how the standard tube in SW has a hole in it? In the sketch, it has an outer and a construction inner so how can the extrusion have produced a tube like cylinder as oppose to just a cylinder? SolidworksRouting
I am wondering if anyone knows how to modify the connectortable template to show something besides the part file name in theheader. I would like to have the part name be the connector customproperties description, and the part number to be the customproperties part number. any thoughts?SolidworksRouting
All, Just a heads up for you early adopters who are running SW2011 SP0. When you "start a route at point" it no longer brings in a sketch/stub or populates the sketch with pipes. The only workaround I've found so far is to add a fitting to the route, then it will populate. SolidworksRouting
Does anyone have an electrical routing wire/cable &component library they are willing to share? I'm just gettingstarted with this. thanks, AlanSolidworksRouting
Is anyone aware of any training or tutorials showing howCircuitworks & (electrical) routing integrate? Has anyone tried this? How do the libraries integrate? My var doesn't offer the routing class, but I don't want to spend$600 & two work days either.
I have a route drawn and i'm wanting to go in and installfittings at points on my 3d sketch. I drag my fitting in, rotate itthe way i want it, and drop it. Every time the program crashes. Iam running service pack 0.
Am I the only one who has a problem with this setting? I keeps turning itself back on. This is the most useless "feature" in Solidworks and just need to go away. Same goes for inserting a part into a part. /rant 2020 SP2 SolidworksRouting
Hi, The standard tube in the design table has multiple configurations within the design table and when you click on each different one, the pipe changes as expected but then I opened the design table, altered one of the thicknesses and now they all seem to have the same thickness...why? SolidworksRouting
Is there some tutorial or documentation where it describes headers in table for design table. What are all possible headers for piping and what are they needed. For example I see some have $prp@Weightperfoot, NominalDiameter@FilterSketch, InnerDiameter@PipeSketch ... What kind of role do this play in routing.
When adding a part to the solidworks routing library, I receive this error message. This part has a design table and last time I ignored this message, the design table was deleted. Any tips? SolidworksRouting
