SOLIDWORKS® Product Data Management (PDM) offers more than a secure vault to store files. It enables your teams to securely store and index design data for fast retrieval, eliminate concerns over version control and data loss, and collaborate on designs in multiple locations. With each new release SOLIDWORKS PDM improves on performance, usability, and security, and the latest release, SOLIDWORKS PDM 2023, excels in these areas. Here’s a look at a few of my favorite enhancements.

SOLIDWORKS® has evolved remarkably in the 17 years I’ve been involved working with the software. We’ve really automated things over the years and I’d say it’s shifted from the feel of driving a standard car to driving an automatic luxury car. And, it’s because of you, our customers, and your ideas and feedback that has made the evolution of SOLIDWORKS successful. With each release we aim to fulfill your wish list and continue to focus on automation in addition to enabling users to work smarter,

I spent many years working in the SOLIDWORKS reseller channel doing tech support and teaching SOLIDWORKS classes. This afforded me the opportunity to work with thousands of individual SOLIDWORKS users across the U.S. One of the things I always looked forward to each summer was the release of the Beta version of SOLIDWORKS. Beta is your chance to try the next version of SOLIDWORKS before it launches later in the year. It’s an opportunity to explore the new features and possibly identify any bugs,
