This year’s SAE AERO Design West competition took place in the heart of the USA, nestled right in Fort Worth Texas. Students from all around the world and from different walks of life, filled the hotel lobby with propellers, DC motors, and aerodynamic fuselages, as they marched their planes in and out of the judges’ arena. Day 1 of the event was all about technical qualifications. A warm Texas morning welcomed the teams to the Thunderbird Field that hosted the Day 2’s agenda: Flight.

I'm new to Solidworks sustainability and I know that you can set the environmental impact of an assembly as a baseline and then compare it to the updated assembly. However is there any way to compare two different assemblies?

I am trying to do a sustainability analysis in SolidWorks, but I have the following problem: If I increase the duration of use, the total energy consumed and the total energy for the material increases too. The design does not consume energy during use.

Center for Dynamic Learning STEM Camp When you combine SolidWorks with Manufacturing and add Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM), students make mistakes, learn, and then create great designs. The Center for Dynamic Learning in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, knows about putting a great program together for inner city youth. Young campers have applied math and science skills to the design and manufacturing of solar eco-friendly go carts. The hard work paid off when they got to race.
