I know that Brian had mentioned that there would be some nice new Environments coming our way in 2017, but i thought it would also be good to share any good resources you find as i find you can never have enough to try and get the perfect render. I have many links that i need to go through before posting but will start off with these Studio HDRI's i found yesterday: Share away - I'm eager to see some good ones you guys might have stumbled across.

On the first image can be seen clearly that it is not very well lighted inside the box. I've applied the window glass appearance on the front surface. On the second image I've changed the opacity of the surface to around 0.8.

Do you want to apply a different material? If yes then you can rotate the model and add appearances as needed. For rotation, check Michael's reply here https://forum.solidworks.com/message/675869#comment-675869

Render clipping path with object feature. I usually render an object feature to give me a clipping path for my model. Since the 2017 update, it errors out each time I try to do this.

I've tried Brian Hillner's (Brushed Stainless Steel) appearance but have only managed to make everything look like the bottom of a cheap frying pan. No setting adjustment can eliminate the coarse, regular concentric circles found in his appearance package. I'd like to get the fine, random, buttery surface of #8 surface finish but can't seem to find the correct combination.

I'm having an issue rendering clear plastic in SW Visualize they look fine in SW and in visualize but when rendered they have a terrible shadow to them. It's a clear plastic tub with clear plastic clips on it. But the clips come out very dark we had no trouble with this when rendering with visualize 2016. I've tried changing the light I've tried highlight color diffusion color solid not solid I've messed with the background im stuck.

I imported project from SolidEdge (SE .asm) but noticed that all parts had pivot in the same place after import. Pivots are individually set for each part and it would be helpful to have them as it is in original SE file.

Now i have had a fair number of projects to run through Visualize now, and in most of them are some kind of Emissive material (Usually LED's), now when you assign an Emissive material it defaults to "Both Sides", which is ok in a lot of cases but in some is not, in every single Model i have created in Solidworks then imported into Visualize, choosing the Front Only option on the emissive ALWAYS emits the light from the wrong side. Is it possible to have another option to choose just the back

My name is Orfeo Lauffer, I have started using Solid works Visualize recently and have still a lot to learn. I'm looking for colors among others: concrete, cement, carbon steel and a number RAL colors. Is there a way of getting, finding, creating these colors so that I can apply them to the models.

I used to be able to merge two projects. Can I still do this? It doesn't seem to be working. in Visualize 2016 I could save my project A, then open project B and merge it into project A.
