Capture.PNGI would like to go up in integers of 5s, how would I change this in FloEFD In the surface plot, you can set the limits of the plot. If you click the button in the purple box, this opens up the limits of the plot.

I am trying to see flows through some openings, and I want to visualize the amount of flow through each opening/surface. Is there a way we can visualize volume flow? Tags:none(add)volume_flow_rate

I am new to flow simulation, and try to study a piece of equipment which will be used subsea (I have made a simple model, attached file). The issue is that I think some holes are sucking less water, compared to others. All we know is that the vacuum pump is sucking water at 200 liters per minute. The question here is to find out how much amount of water is each hole sucking?

Not the time for the calculations to finish. Does Floefd do it until everything plateaus, like temperature etc. Or does it show what would happen after an hour or so?

I'm a beginner in doing flow simulations. To get the gist of it, I wanted to do a basic thermal simulation. It includes a box with multiple layers in between.

I am working on a project in which there are several electronic components within a larger enclosure. Some of them are computers or other components with fans. While the vendors won't hand over a full thermal model, I know the intake flowrates, exhaust flowrates, deltaT from intake to exhaust, and case temperatures.

Please allow me to request for your expertise in Flow Simulation using Solidworks. We have this 12"Ø x 4200mm Mixing Spool design I want to know the expected flow paths of the fluid from inlet to outlet of the spool.

Flow simulation with oscillating/limited rotation I know it's possible to do a flow simulation with a rotating region such as a fan or propeller.

In Flow Sim, I am trying to create an animation of a transient simulation, and I would like the physical time to be shown throughout the animation. In the past (using last year's version of SW Flow Sim), I was able to do this by selecting "Time Info" from the Flow Simulation window as shown in the picture below. This still works in the latest edition of flow simulation. However, when I create an animation, the "Time = ...." text doesn't change, instead displaying the same time value throughout

I'm trying to simulate the air flowing through the external surface of an airplane fuselage. As I do not want to simulate the whole airplane, I've sectioned the airplane and created a hollow tube (1.5mm thick) with 12m lenght and 3.7m diameter. My main goal is to simulate the impact of solar radiation, outside temp, and outside minimum air flow, to the components inside little shell (shaped like a turtle shell) attached to the top of the airplane fuselage (green shell).

I am new to SolidWorks Flow Simulation, however I have attempted to do my research before posting here, and searched the forum so if this topic has been covered I appologize. Inlet Pressure = 130psi (educated guess)

Recently, I found a problem that the temperature difference between IC and PCB is too big, which almost 16'C. The component size is 2.9mmx1.5mmx1mm with heat generation 0.5W.

I have a problem in fluid recognition and I need help , for the analysis of my project, the domains Hub and thick inner shell (Aluminum),Shell(Titanium64) ,water all rotating with the same velocity 63rad/s, the titanium alloy used : 4430 kg/m^3 density , 570 in specific heat capacity and 8W/m*k in thermal conductivity. The inlet (water 0.209kg/s) and the outlet (static pressure 1Pa). heat generated in each domain is:

I am new to CFD, trying to find my way around using Google and YouTube but I'm up against something I can't understand why. I understand what the error is - I think it's fairly self-explanatory, but not why I'm getting it. I have attached 4 screenshots to show what I'm trying to flow through - so I can compare the results.

All my flow projects have disappeared from the assembly file that I have been using. I can see the project folders in my local drive but the projects do not load in the assembly file. Flow simulation is already added.

Is there any way to have multiple (2) inlets and (2) outlets within the Xpress version of Flow? I want to simulate a merging collector for (2) inlets and (2) outlets. I currently do not have the full version of the software though and am looking for a work around.

I am looking to use CFD for a lab that requires an error analysis portion, is there an uncertainty portion on any of the values that are solved for. If not, is there a know, or a safe % error value for the simulation package? I would be curious to know if other products have this capability and how it works.
