Par le passé, si un ingénieur n’avait pas un doctorat ou un coûteux logiciel spécialisé, son choix pour réaliser une analyse de transfert de chaleur était limité à la FEA. C’est regrettable car pour la plupart des applications de simulation thermique, la FEA n’est pas l’outil le plus approprié.
