Saving large assemblies as an eassembly not working well. When opening eassembly to view assembly, it is very slow opening, and when it does open, its almost impossible to move it around screen. It moves really slow, or just really jerky. I am running Solidworks 2016.
Solidworks 2017 crashes when saving eDrawings We recently upgraded from Solidworks 2016 to Solidworks 2017 and since making the change, we have had issues where Solidworks crashes trying to save to eDrawings 2017. This has happened on a couple of the machines in offices.
I noticed on the sample page of edrawings that they are using an HWF file format for their viewer. Does anyone know how to convert a Solidworks 2017 part or assembly file into a HWF file format for viewing?
While back I downloaded a Seascooter demo from the eDrawings gallery on geometricglobal.com website. I wanted to use some screen shots and 5-10 seconds video of the eDrawing running on a Citrix VM. Reading the license file that came with the demo, it is not clear to me if I can use this in a video. The video is to be posted on our company's YouTube channel.
Hi, I updated last edrawings version on a Macbook Pro, from AppStore. The thing is that now I cannot see preview in finder, which is very useful while browsing a large number of files, anyone has an idea on how to activate preview?
I'm creating an application for organizing jigs that we create in solidworks for the company I work for and have run into a problem with renaming saved drawings and the name not changing in the PDF of the drawing (for obvious reasons). Is there a way to programatically save a drawing as a pdf? (Using VB.net Windows App)
Hey, I have a problem with eDrawing : I want to open a assembly part (easm) and to use the wire view of this assembly. When I choose the wire view mode, only one part of my assembly becomes "wire", other parts stay with the classic 3D view.
I created an .edrw file using Solidworks 14. One of the pictorials isn't generating when I look at the file using eDrawings. I see the pictorial in Solidworks prior to exporting the .edrw file. The first .edrw file created that contained shading contains the pictorial, but the second .edrw created that is flat doesn't generate one of the 2 pictorials on page 1 of the drawing.
I have SOLIDWORKS Student Edition 2016-2017. This includes SOLIDWORKS Premium and eDrawings Pro. I am attempting to include configurations in an eDrawings file, but the popup for selecting the configurations never appears.
edrawings displays assembly drawings with incorrect line styles? When I view Solidworks assembly drawings in eDrawings 2016, the object lines appear as dashed lines instead of solid lines. On part drawings, everything appears fine.
Improving E-Drawings Peformance Are there any tips for getting better performance out of E-Drawings? We used Design Review with Inventor and E-drawings is so slow its almost unusable when working with EASM files.
I am working with older versions of a drawing and the only thing I have to reference is an eDrawing file. I do not need to create a complex solidworks DWG file, since the item I am dealing with is a basic cable with modified connectors. Is there the something I can use to take the drawing view of the cable from the eDrawing (as a DXF file or something like that) and then place only the drawing view of the cable into a Solidworks DWG file?
