In the 80s, I amassed a large collection of cassette tapes, stoked by the ability to record whatever songs I wanted in whatever order. We’ve all done it, created those infamous mixed tapes! Then along came CDs, which provided a much more efficient way to play and record music. Today, music has gone completely digital, making it even easier to purchase, store and share your favorite tunes with playlists.

On April 8,2014, Microsoft will end support for their Microsoft XP operating system. According to their website: If you continue to use Windows XP after support ends, your computer will still work but it might become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. If you are running an older version of a 2D CAD product on the XP operating system, you may have to pay a significant amount to upgrade the product to work with newer versions of Windows.

SolidWorks Enterprise PDM (EPDM) 2013 now has an add-in for DraftSight Premium that can be downloaded from the customer portal. This add-in allows DraftSight Premium customers to work with vaulted 2D files directly from within the DraftSight environment. DraftSight Premium offers additional benefits over the free version such as telephone and email support, network licensing, access to the DraftSight API (required for the EPDM add-in), and access to the Deployment Wizard.
