A new SolidWorks STEM tutorial for the Junior Solar Sprint car has been developed by teacher Pat Haley, Cuda Country. Partners Technology Student Association (TSA) and Army Education Outreach Program (AEOP) bring the JSS model solar car competition to many schools.

Hundreds of educators spent Saturday at the 10th American Society of Engineering Educaiton (ASEE) K12 Teacher workshop in Atlanta Georgia. The ASEE event was sponsored by Dassault Systemes. I was fortunate to present with two great educators, Fred Stillwell and Jeff Rosen from Georgia Tech, Fred and Jeff talked about how they have used SolidWorks in the classroom to teach students from middle school through high school about design, engineering and manufacturing with low cost projects.

Can SolidWorks Simulation be used with Pumpkins? Engineering students from Team Ethos and Wright State University say YES! They produced this video covering 5 years of their development and design changes using SolidWorks Simulation to analyze structural members and drag of pumpkins. Projectile motion is cool when pumpkins are invovled.
